Lone non-liberal EY parliamentarian Tabuns celebrates 10 years

As the only non-Liberal parliamentarian currently representing any of the three East York area ridings at either the provincial or federal level, you might expect the NDP’s Toronto-Danforth MPP Peter Tabuns to be feeling a bit lonely these days.

But that was far from the case the night of Thurs. Sept. 15, when scores of supporters and colleagues came out to the Fox and Fiddle Danforth for a celebration of the 10th anniversary of his first election to the office.  In addition to speeches, a sumptuous buffet and cake, fans even sang a song with lyrics tweaked to honour him.

A high-profile member of his party, lately he’s campaigning strongly against the privatization of part of Hydro One.
