Toronto City Council and its various committees have begun the process of striking the city’s 2018 budget, which is likely to be shaped more by public opinion than most years since municipal elections are scheduled for next November.

East York residents can have their say about various proposed measures at a open meeting of the Budget Committee being held to hear public input starting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday January 10 in the council chambers at East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Avenue.

Proceedings will take place 3-9 p.m. with a one-hour break between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. It is not necessary to pre-register in order to make a deposition, however people can do so by contacting the committee by emailing buc@toronto.ca or calling 416-392-4666.
