As a photograph posted to a community group on Facebook the evening of Tuesday, November 29 indicates, a long-time staple of the Danforth-Donlands area, the 24-hour 7-Eleven convenience store on the south side of Danforth Ave. at the corner of Donlands Ave., has closed suddenly and has its doors and windows boarded over.

Whether the closure is permanent or part of a redevelopment/renovation is at the moment unknown.

The company’s website, which identifies the store as #25705, located at 975 Danforth Ave., still has a page for the store and shows it on a map of Toronto area stores.

However a Google Maps search of the address no longer shows a 7-Eleven store but lists the property as “Key Café”.

Attempts to call the number listed for the store on the parent company’s website were not answered, with a tone eventually disconnecting the line.

More details as they become available.
