Over the last few issues, we have introduced readers to some world class microbreweries here in East York. Now it’s time to connect the dots —a beer by itself lacks an ingredient: ambiance. Fortunately East York has an incredible range of locations to experience these beers. For the sake of brevity, we are concentrating this solely on the Danforth to suggest an assortment of bars and eateries. Relish: Located one block east of Woodbine, they have music starting early evening every night with as many flavors as their beers. They have over 20 taps and according to owner Joanne Clayton they switch products every three or four kegs. I find the bartenders knowledgeable about each beer, and have never been led wrong.
