Chronicle celebration brought out celebs & showcased local talent \ A packed house at Linsmore Tavern the night of Wed. Sept. 17 helped East York Chronicle celebrate our new format launch as over 20 local musical talents performed and local EY celebrities came out to share in the fun. Host and emcee was EYC publisher/editor Gary Webb-Proctor, better known as Gary 17 to those in the music biz. Mission Statement East York Chronicle is a monthly community newsmagazine designed to do what its name suggests: chronicle events and the evolving scene in the community known as East York in the City of Toronto. More than that, we aim to help the community to become more self aware by giving readers insights into the past and everchanging present of the area, as well as food for thought about what its future might be. Part of doing so, of course, involves helping to define exactly what East York is!
